Code of Conduct
Suburban Ski Club is a not-for-profit social club with a focus on skiing and snowboarding activities. Members are expected to conduct themselves in a fashion of civility and mutual consideration to promote pleasant and enjoyable experiences for all members at all Club events. This policy applies to a member’s conduct while participating in Club business, meetings, activities, events and/or travel associated with the Club. Members are also expected to follow the codes of conduct or rules of behavior associated with ski resorts, hotels, and commercial carriers contracted with the Club or are directly involved in Club events.
Members participating in Club activities should maintain a positive attitude and be respectful of the rights and well-being of others. Avoid disruptive or offensive language and/or behavior. Damage to property, violence toward others, harassment or bullying of any kind is contrary to the Code of Conduct. Stay within the bounds of reasonable social behavior. Avoid public displays of anger, intoxication, or other anti-social behavior that is out of line with common courtesy.
A participant who violates these standards may be barred from future trips and shall be responsible for all consequential damages arising from such misconduct that impairs the rights of others. Such damages may include the cost of a separate room to protect the rights of a fellow participant. The Trip Leader shall determine if this is necessary during a Club sponsored event.. The offending member shall remain responsible for the full cost of his or her trip, including lift tickets, lodging, transportation, etc. that were part of the trip package and will not be eligible for a refund. In addition, the Board may bar a participant from future trips and Club events for violations of the Code of Conduct.
The goal of a ski trip or Club event is to have fun and make the event an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone. By following this Code of Conduct you will contribute to a positive experience for all.
